Legerity, founded in 1980, has established itself as a trusted name in the field of voice integrated circuits (ICs). 

The company specialized in analog and mixed-signal ICs for wireline voice and data networks, starting with solutions for the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN). Over a span of more than 25 years, Legerity remained at the forefront of IC solutions for voice communications.

In August 2007, Legerity was acquired by Zarlink Semiconductor, a move that expanded its technological capabilities and market reach. Later, in October 2011, Zarlink Semiconductor was acquired by Microsemi Corporation, further integrating Legerity's innovations into a broader portfolio of semiconductor solutions.
